Lower back pain – lumbago

In some people, the lower back periodically locks up. When getting out of bed in the morning or after an incorrect sudden movement, a sudden pain in the back appears. Acute pain forces the person to make movements carefully, to move around carefully “like an old person” and to sit still.
This condition is called lumbago. Lumbago is a sharp and very intense pain in the lower back. Any movement, as a rule, makes the situation worse; the pain can be so severe that sometimes the patient is forced to lie on the floor and wait for help.
People suffering from lumbago usually have poor posture associated with a tilt and rotation of the pelvis with strong muscle contractures in the lumbar region.
Lumbago is usually provoked by sudden movements. These movements overload the ligaments and lumbar muscles, which are already overstrained because of the distorted pelvis. Further unexpected loads cause an involuntary activation of the spasmodic protective mechanism, which leads to stiffness of the lumbar muscles. This cramp is triggered by the body to prevent hyperextension of the muscles and ligaments and to protect the nerves exiting the spinal canal.
After treatment at Body Balance Clinic, pelvic torsion, pelvic tilt, a hollow lower back (hyperlordosis) and posture in general can be noticeably and lastingly improved, effectively eliminating the underlying dangerous condition that then develops into lumbago. The experience of the overwhelming majority of patients shows that after treatment of craniovertebral dysfunction at Body Balance Clinic, they no longer had situations with their back locking up or attacks of lumbago.
Lumbago can be treated even in the acute phase, during an attack or immediately after it. In this case, the treatment is doubly beneficial, since it is combined with working on the deep lower back muscles, which the doctor performs before the correction. The specific deep lower back muscles affected by spasmodic tension can be effectively worked on and relaxed with immediate pain relief. And this does not require resorting to painkiller injections and nerve blocks. Treating a lower back that hurts because of the biomechanical collapse of the spine and muscles drained of blood by spasms is the same as treating caries with painkillers.
